WILLARD ST. HOUSE DEDICATIONS

On Saturday, September 24, the new homes at 223 and 225 Willard St. in Michigan City were officially dedicated in ceremonies starting at 1:00 p.m. Following the open houses and dedications, there was a block party in the 200 block of Willard Avenue. This was a celebration of our 25th year of building decent affordable homes in LaPorte County. An estimated 75 people turned out to help us celebrate. Some Anniversary themed items (shirts, cups, etc.) may be ordered at the office.

Also as part of the celebration, our Executive Director, Dwight Graham was honored. Dwight, has served as LaPorte County Habitat Director for the past eight years but will be retiring in a few weeks. Under Dwight's direction LCHFH has grown from building and funding one house per year to two, then three and now four houses per year for the last two years. He has helped us obtain number of major grants and recently directed our move to our new offices and warehouse in Michigan City. Below Board President Debbie King presents Dwight with several gifts and a cake.
